I think cutting someone from your life for standing you up is absolutely justified especially when they don't pick up the phone or give you any type of reason. It's rude and totally disrespectful. I personally don't put up with that.

I also agree with you that sometimes you just have to stay away from certain people to control those residual feelings. When I broke up with my ex I had to delete his myspace, phone numbers, block him, etc to prevent myself for falling for the same old shit.
