I'm slowly figuring out that you have a thing for cliffies? Beautiful, haunting story with a palpable sense of the ticking clock and the desperation that's driving poor Dean. You almost killed me when Bobby couldn't answer him back in chapter one - that man does silence so well and you caught his hesitation spot on.
And then the ending... so triumphant and sad at the same time - 'I can never go back', Sam's longing coming up against Dean's pragmatism. Like the last comment, I can picture J&J nailing that scene.
I know how gutting it is when you post and post and it seems like no-one's out there reading - but please, keep going! You're a fantastic writer, and I'm now off to work my way through the rest of the stuff in you journal... *glee*
