As inspiration for attempting to complete shayenne's C/P slashy fic, I was looking for other 'ships and I stumbled upon Torchwood's Jack/Ianto pairing.  I was never really into Dr. Who, but I saw a very intense male on male kiss animated gif in my searches and got curious.

Wooeee! That's hot. I just watched one episode of torchwood and then stopped. Not sure why-maybe I should give it another go. Sorry that you couldn't find anymore good fanfic-but you writing more C/P is always a good thing for us :S
Have you watched any Sherlock btw? Been looking for good Sherlock fanfic and so far not so good.

The first season is very annoying until you get to the last three episodes of it. Ianto makes it worthwhile (when he's in it) and he has more to do by season 2. I started off by checking YouTube videos for Jack/Ianto moments and noting the eps some of the clips came from. Both Season 2 and 3 are really good, regardless of if there were Janto scenes or not. And yes, I adore Sherlock! Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be in the new Trek when it opens Summer 2013 and I can't wait!!

Ah yes, Torchwood. Much as I adore Dr Who, and drool over Captain Jack, I've never quite fallen for Torchwood. I think it was seeing the early episodes and finding Gwen rather annoying. I should give it another go, especially if there is Jack Harkness kissing men.

I love Sherlock! And the more they drum home that Watson's straight, the more I don't believe it. :D

If you get your hands on Season 1: "Captain Jack Harness" episode, I highly recommend. Jack gets to meet his 1940s namesake and you learn a lot about his backstory as well as getting to see him being vulnerable for once. In Season 2, there's an awesome ep with James Marsters that shows a love/hate relationship between Jack and him "Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang" along with a Jack/Ianto moment. The show gets so slashy by season 2, I barely register Gwen (who I also find extremely annoying).

I only get the first series of Sherlock here in the States so I'm eagerly awaiting more. I'm leery of reading any fanfic on it, since I think the writing on the show is awesome to begin with.

You are patient. I hunted down the next season and sucked them down in a day-but now I'm sad because who knows if there are going to be any more. I really hope so! Smart move on not reading the fanfic. There was one author I had found who wrote the most brilliant Robin hood and Castle fanfics (and I don't even watch Castle) and I was so psyched to see that he had done one Sherlock/Watson fic. Wasn't bad but nothing like his other stuff!
And yes on the Star Trek movie was so excited to see that. Although more than a year to go :P

There's supposed to be Torchwood: Miracle Day, which is the fourth season, which will be available April 3rd on DVD. *crosses limbs hoping that it will be on instantplay Netflix* Ianto won't be there anymore, but I so love Jack Harkness at this point, it's okay. The only fanfic on Torchwood I've read are PWPs (try qthelights, here on LJ), since we only get to see a fraction of the Janto relationship; I often wonder what it's like off hours in the Hub. *sigh* Hey! You could always write one...*evilgrin*
