Yep -- I cut and there are always others... "Hey, would you mind adding my sister-in-law?" "Remember me from high school?" (no)... that sorta thing. LOL

Congratulations! re: Facebook, what I hate most is the incomprehensible (and, I gather, unreliable) privacy settings. It's why I prefer LJ. I know exactly who is seeing anything I post.

I agree completely about Facebook. I wish more of my friends and family had Livejournal accounts. I think the main reason they don't is simply because they think (and I do agree to some extent) that LJ takes more time to maintain.

It is more work. But I guess I am old-fashioned. I would rather read a few paragraphs about something interesting a smaller group of friends have to say, which reminds me of a letter or similar conventional form of written communication, than endless status updates of the form "X wants pizza!" and "Y is watching TV SHow Z!" from a multitude.
