I wrote an article about blogging styles based on a study that just came out. I tried very hard not to see myself in a few of those listed. Unfortunately, I did... and I don't necessarily like what I saw

I don't think these really apply to LJ (the other blogging you do that you've linked to - where you give informative opinion pieces to a set audience, yes), but most people use LJ as a cross between a diary and a social forum. Most people *do* respond to comments - it's called chatting :-p

I am a substitution blogger. And I think the author of the linked article is too busy feeling superior to all such persons to "get it".
