I love HGTV. Love it. I'm waiting for the Eddie Haskells out there to say "if you love it so much why don't you marry it?" so I can say "put it in a tux and bring it down the aisle for me, baby," because I totally would marry it. Kenneth did a remodel on the cheap? Well, not that $40K is cheap (!!!) but you know what I mean. I'll have to watch out for that episode. It's probably one of the ones I deleted before I watched. My other favorite Kenneth episodes are the small condo redo he did for the gay man (the one where they left the cement floor unfinished except for a border painted around it and framed pictures of road signs from I66). That room was fierce! I also loved the baby room he remodeled to look like a spaceship (mostly because I fell in love with the little boy whose room it was).

Mmmmmmm... HGTV, how I love thee. I also watch a ton of stuff on DIY -- I love "DIY to the rescue" and I watch every "This Old House" b/c I secretly want Norm & team to do my dream house :-)

With regards to "Design to Sell", have you watched "Flip This House" on TLC / A&E at all? Somewhat the same genre, although more focused on flipping houses than just dressing up a house to be sold.

My cable company doesn't broadcast DIY. Sometimes they'll show DIY programs on HGTV and that's the only time I get to see them. I've seen Flip this House a couple times. I really like it - those people are pros are really reinforce the maxim that it's a business and people need to get their personal tastes out of it!

Oh, I love you. This is exactly what I needed to come home to. I'm gonna program my TiVo and enjoy myself.

(I did see an episode of that show that ms_pie mentions, but there's something profoundly demoralizing about people who can afford to flip homes in California.)
