for me, this was one of the very very rare times that i liked the oc over house. i wanted cuddy to be with julian so it was a little sad for me to have him die and to have her wind up with house in this particular story. i attribute that to the fleshing out of his character and to some extent the less than wonderful sex scene between house and cuddy at the beginning. allowing us to get to know and like julian made it hard to make the jump back to huddy. in a lot of other cuddy/oc house successfully breaks them up because they never materialise as real or likeable and you never feel that cuddy is really invested in the oc.

Thanks for your comments. Julian seems to be developing a fan following! :)

Wonderful piece. Baby fics are always hit or miss, especially when it comes to these two. It was a hit, I'm happy to say.

I always applaud those who give Cuddy a boyfriend who isn't just a plot device. And you did that fantastically- he treated Cuddy like gold, as she should be. House is appropriately overbearing but distant, and I'm happy about how he simply knew that the baby was his.

Also, much love for them getting high and House/Wilson = gossiping yentas.

Great job, especially considering this is a Big Bang fest fic. I know you must've put in a lot of work, and it turned out for the best.

What a great story. The sort of thing I'd want to read on the beach or on a peaceful weekend. Like someone before me said, I really appreciated that you developed Julian into more than House/Cuddy leverage. I liked him, dammit, and I didn't expect to be so upset when he died.

Also, a couple of lines struck me as genius, and I had to make note--

What was the point in taking such exquisite care of a body that wouldn't do the one thing she wanted it to do?

That was heartbreaking and gorgeous, which you did a lot of in this fic. I kept going GUH over Cuddy.

But this is my favorite:

Cuddy snorted that threat away. "You get away with a lot, being so tall..." She pushed the combed-over hair away, revealing the extent of his hair loss.

"Hey!" he protested, smoothing the hair back over the top of his head. "Careful! That's the solar panel for the love machine!"

LOL, oh, I badly want this to happen in canon. Don't think it ever will, but it's priceless.

Anyway. Thanks for the story! I had a great time reading, and I love your Cuddy. :)

Thank you for the lovely comments. Stuff like this is why I write. ;)

re: Teh Baldtm I am endlessly amused by the careful blurring of the top and back of Hugh's head on the show (I wonder if he knows about that), because he is totally busted whenever he appears anywhere else. To the producers' credit, at least his hair loss has been mentioned a couple of times. :D

Oh man!

Confession .... (you can swat me) ... I read part 3 for now.
*awaits swat*

The announce of 30k words made me overly conscious of the chores I actually need to be doing right now. Afraid I would not get myself unhooked from your tale before the end if I started at the beginning, I started at the end.

Blown away now.
Moved.

Excellent writing. Beautiful portrayals, and insights. Humor and much kind forgivingness.
I will be back for the rest. (after said chores).

DO. DO . DO start your non fandom based books, Kim!
You've such a talent.
It will make you happier than almost anything, when you finally see yourself in print, pick up your own book, and hand it over to someone.
Go for it.

I haven't read the rest yet, but I'm pretty sure that 30k proves that your one fear, not being able to carry a long plot, can be put out there with the garbage. That was the last hick-up, wasn't it?

So go for it!
Please.

Thank you, Emma. :) Can't wait to read your reaction to the other two parts since they were much harder (especially "Julian") than part 3.
