I'll be happy to avoid a drive into work like today's ever again. With the rain and the traffic and the fact that my tires slipped at least 3-4 times on the drive in... I'm feeling a little stressed and I still have a full day of work to do yet.

I hope so too, though I think I'll be staying late to at elast avoid rush hour in the rain. No need to make things worse than they already will be!

Time for new tires? Even with good tires, the bug will slip on the reflective paint markers on the road (stop lines, traffic arrows, etc.) -- too much power for it's weight.

I was expecting 540 to be "messy" since the stretch from 70 to the airport was resurfaced the last few weeks. But I had no problems and there weren't any signs of wrecks today.
