You mean I have to choose just one daddy issue?

Nursing school is SERIOUS. I have at least 2 sizable-I'ma-fuck-up-your-world tests every week. After tests are taken, we go immediately into more lecture because there is not enough time to fit all the information in about which the professors want to talk . I sit and take notes, I go home and scramble study, I go to lab, and I go to work. I have ( Read more... )

I just randomly commented on another girls livejournal and she stated that she absolutely hates the fall. It's the only one she hates. I didn't ask about the winter but some people tend to, at least, find beauty in snow, so winter seems to be exempt for most people because it has that upside despite the cold.

Could be a girl thing I don't know,

I simply have a general dislike of being cold. I am not very cold tolerant so the winter leaves me bundled up and still with numb toes and fingers. Also I enjoy running and winter tends to hinder it.
I do agree there are some finer points to winter, but a lot of it is lost on me because of general discomfort.

You know how I feel about the cold, what with my pesky cold induced urticaria and all. Screw cold weather.

I am so proud of you and your nursing school goal! I was happy to be a guinea pig for the BP cuff, but I gotta draw the line at needle pokes and catheters. Sorry. But you can cuff me anytime.
I can share with you my own needle stabbing experiences from giving insulin to two different cats over the last five years.
You can practice on my cat, Maggie, as a matter of fact. She gets her shot once daily, at around 6 pm. Holler if you want to do this. She won't notice. It only took me a few tries to master it. It's not the same level of difficulty as, say, trying to start an I.V. or anything, but it's something you can certainly do for stabbing practice.
How's that for being a supportive friend? "I'll let you stab my cat!" Hah!

The return of cold weather always causes me to reconsider moving closer to the equator.
Thank you for all the support! It's hard to stay focused when my goal requires me to stay home with my nose in a book all day . . . and not get paid.
I will TOTALLY stab your cat! I'll call you when I get a free-ish night!
