I go in for my mono test in 2 hours. . . .
I have to finish up work this week - we have a huge response due Friday, but next week is supposed to be a slow week. If I have mono, I'll probably take half the week off!

I would hope you would take time off. Don't go spreading that around.

The sore bear looks so sad. Hopefully no mono, although I wouldn't mind taking a couple days off, maybe I should catch something. No I should not say that healthy is better!

Mono test was negative - doesn't mean I don't have a different strand of mono though.
He said I definitely have some viral infection as my lymph nodes in my neck, both posterior and anterior, are swollen.
Ugh - I'm exhausted.

I had a "mono-like" virus twice before I actually had full blown mono. It sucked just as much as mono, but only lasted for a few weeks instead of a few months. I would have your dr. put you on prednisone. It helps boost your immune system and lessen the amount of time you're sick.

Prednisone - really? kimberlyjo October 13 2004, 20:29:40 UTC
I didn't know what Prednisone was - so I looked it up. This is what I found -
"Do not take prednisone if you have a serious bacterial, viral, or fungal infection. Prednisone weakens the body's immune response and thus its ability to fight infection."

They gave me prednisone when I had mono in high school....Man, I was a BITCH until I quit taking it (made me all kinds of moody), but it sure did work well!
