Today is 30 days post-layoff. Something somewhat scary about that.

Dumped TWX stock options available for $10; netted nice return on investment.

I noticed you friended me - which division of AOL did you work for? You should get along well with my friend "liber cogito" (Livia) who used to work for AOL as well as an outsourced call rep. Friending you back - thanks for the add.

I betcha AOL's outsourcing the janitors these days - maybe the mgmt. is next! :)

which division of AOL did you work for?
Systems Operations, for seven years. Trust me, there were times we were just as frustrated by broken products, bloated clients, etc., as everybody else seems to be. We used to growl at Dev when they'd toss something over the wall that just barely worked, expecting us to work miracles because the product was going to be featured on the Welcome Screen in X hours. Been there, done that, worn the t-shirt, starred in the video ( ... )

So sorry what was thought to be over turned into more pain :,-(
Tooth extraction is no fun (still remember my wisdom teeth: ah...
military dentists...).

The good news is that extraction = no more cavities in that tooth. Despite the precarious state of my overall health, my teeth are damn near indestructible; the extraction I had on Wednesday makes only the 4th dental salvage procedure I've had to have in the past 10 years, not bad at all.
