Fed up with it all

Jul 02, 2007 14:34

I'm thinking I'm never talking about anything I'm looking forward to ever again.

As soon as I get my hopes up and start believing things are going to get better...

*crash....the sound of the ground breaking out from under*

...Things go to shit and I'm really tired of it!!

You dwell on the negative SO SO much. You expect that things will always go bad. Even when things are going good you are waiting for something bad to happen, thinking of ways that things can go bad. Take the manager situation, your manager quits and instead of thinking of it as an opening to get into the M.I.T program since they'll need more managers you automatically think that it's a bad thing and that your chances are ruined. I know I know, you don't want to get your hopes up and have them dashed. So whats the alternataive, never have any hope for anything ever again? Thats a very sad existence, never hoping for anything, and it's existing not life. Did you miss this entry? It's certainly something you should consider doing.

I'm trying to not be negative...just feel like when I get my hopes up and become hopeful and all it's like Charlie Brown and the football. Charlie Brown being me, the football being my dreams/hopes/etc...irony being Lucy pulling said football away.

I'll snap out of it and things will get better. I just hate things being out of my control a lot.

There are a lot of things in life that are not under your control. As soon as you accept that, you'll stop dwelling on trying to change the things you can't.

As blackdragon420 said, you really need to stop focusing on the negative. A change of your mindset will certainly make your days more bearable - and maybe even a little brighter.

Trying...opting to take things one day at at time and thinking about things that make me happy. Like for instance, the kitties...I'll figure out a way to keep them and well the fact I don't have to work a full shift tomorrow...still have to be here 830-1230 but that is just so I can get like Thanksgiving and Christmas off.

As for the Bombay stuff, I'm going to see if I might be able to gain a little more insight.

As for my car...I'll find out what's wrong, see how much it is going to cost, and how long I can put it off for.

So glad I'll be running around as a pirate next weekend.
