I'm jealous of your elbows, I really am. I don't have nice elbows. By this I do not mean that they have scars, but I do have a skin disorder-psoriasis. So, my elbows are usually covered in these white, scaly, pieces of dead skin that JUST WON'T SHED. You know how normal people shed a layer of skin a month? I used to have really bad eczema on my neck and hands. My hands still flare up a little when it's cold and dry outside, but luckily keeping lotion on them, and cortizone cream, seems to help. I was so self-conscious in middle and high school b/c my neck was red and scaly and peeled worse than a sunburn. I went to the doctor and got creams and stuff, but nothing really helped until I outgrew it. I hope your psoriasis will be outgrown, too.

I also didn't really have any acne until late college/grad school. In high school I'd get maybe one zit every few months. Mine's been getting worse, but my dr. put me on a topical antibiotic in June that has helped a lot. My mom had it way worse and for much longer than I have, so I'm lucky in that regard. She still has occasional outbreaks at 53, but they're not as bad as they used to be.

Maybe you could get one of those foot files and scrub your elbows, since it's dead skin. You'd think they'd have a pill or something that would halt the skin reproduction (well, slow it down anyways).
