Title: Temptations
Dongho smiled while holding Changmins hand. He had finally started to get color back in his face and breathe on his own. His condition, still far from well, was much better than when he had come to the hospital. Changmin had taken several different medicines of mixed brands. His stomach was pumped, and coated with coal. The doctors had hoped it would help and possibly save him, still, Donghos faith was slowly draining.
He felt a hand on his back and turned around with a soft smile. Kevin had been with him every day after classes to keep him company while he sat with Changmin. Kevin seemed to show more compassion for him as well. His hyung was around more, called him more and visited more. He couldn’t complain or deny that he was happy, but it seemed a little odd that Kevin would Dongho over his boyfriend. Had something happened?
“Kevin.”
“Yes?”
“Why are you always here with me after classes?”
“Because you’re my friend and you need me?”
“You study here then do your homework here and go home. I never see you text Kibum hyung or try to communicate with him, why is that?”
Kevin stiffened a little and sighed. If anyone could understand his situation, it would be Dongho. The reasons were different but Dongho did cheat on Soohyun to help someone. Kevin is just trying to help himself.
“Well, because I’m ashamed to speak to him.”
He turned to Kevin and frowned, confused.
“What did you do?”
“I’m cheating on him.”
Kevin heard a chair slide across the floor, which was shortly followed by a slap on his cheek. He probably---no he knew he deserved it. He just stared at Dongho.
“Why are you doing that? Don’t you love him? Did you learn nothing from what happened with Soohyun hyung? Stop it right now or I’ll never talk to you again, Kevin!”
“Listen to why at least!”
Dongho bit his tongue and nodded through the forming tears. Kevin must have a good, valid reason.
“AJ is forcing me. He has convinced his uncle, the dean at my school, to fail me unless I sleep with him. I don’t want to Dongho, I really don’t but...I can’t fail and I can’t transfer to another university in the middle of the semester! I don’t want this…but I can’t do anything until the end of the semester.”
Dongho was quiet for awhile. Trying to take in all the information and figure out how to help Kevin. He couldn’t go to the dean. He could always go to the cops, but they probably wouldn’t believe him. Kibum wouldn’t understand. Meaning that trying to explain it to him would be useless.
“I’ll keep your secret hyung. I’m always here for you.”
Kevin hugged him tightly as tears silently started rolling down his cheeks.
“I hope he doesn’t find out though. “ Kevin could only agree with Dongho. It would be horrid.

Kiseop whimpered while Eli began to take off his clothes. It had been weeks since they were last intimate. He shivered when his shirt was pulled off; Eli’s body was now the only thing keeping him warm. His eyes closed, trying to enjoy the warmth of his partner only for it to be taken away from him suddenly. He opened his eyes, adjusted to the light and frowned when Eli had moved far away from him.
“What are those?”
Shit.
“E-Eli, I- I…”
“Can you explain them?” He shook his head.
“You’re cheating on me.”
“I’m not, I just-“. He was interrupted.
“Then tell me why you have bite marks and hickeys all over your body! I haven’t touched you in days so I know they aren’t from me!” Eli was livid and staring angrily at Kiseop.
“I’m helping her Eli. She needs me.”
Eli felt this overwhelming sense of hurt. His eyes had began to form tears, which were on the brink of falling.
“Get out.”
“What?”
“Pack up your things and get out. I’m done with you Kiseop! How could you cheat on me?”
“I didn’t cheat!”
“You’re selling yourself! That is cheating!”
Kiseop began to throw his belongings into a bag while tears fell.
“I love you Eli, please don’t do this.” He continued to whisper while packing.
Kiseop knew it wasn’t the smartest way to help his mother, but it was the only thing he could do. He tried getting jobs, but every application was rejected.
He walked down the stairs and down the hall before he paused. He was hoping Eli would change his mind. He didn’t want to break up; all he wanted was to be with Eli and he blew it. He walked out of the building, in search of a cheap motel he could rent for the night.

Alexander couldn’t believe it; Joon was standing in front of him after months of being away.
“What are---“
He was cut off when Joon pulled him into a tight embrace and began to capture him in a soft kiss. He missed him, but he had a thing going with Hoon! Why did Joon even show up? After all these months, why would he now leave in the middle of the week and just show up at Alexanders dorm?
Alexander walked backwards into his house, allowing Joon to come in with him. He sank against the sofa; mind slightly numb as to what was going on. He looked up when his hand was taken by the other, a soft and gentle grip kept him from pulling it back; the sad eyes kept him from yelling.
“How could you break up with me through an e-mail Alexander? Did you really think I would just accept it? What happened? Why do you want to break up?”
Alexander had to admit it was cowardly to e-mail Joon about leaving him, but there was no other way to get in contact with him. He was always busy or asleep, the time difference didn’t help much either and he didn’t want to call Joon in the middle of an exam or anything to say they’re breaking up! He was being a coward but at least he was a considerate one.
“I can’t do this anymore.” He spoke, barely above a whisper.
“What do you mean?”
“You’re gone for way too long. I really just… it hurts too much Joon; I can’t take it.” He sighed softly when Joons frown only deepened.
“Is it someone else? Someone you met at school?” He could only nod.
“He’s always here for me. He’s been my friend for such a long time too; since freshman year.”
“Do you love him?” He shook his head; Joon smiled and replied with “don’t leave me then.”
“I can’t be with someone who isn’t here for me Joon! I need someone to talk to; someone I can tell everything to!” He couldn’t believe he started tearing up over this. It would have been so much easier had Joon not come.
“I am here Alexander. I’m moving back; I already have all my transfer papers going. I don’t want to break up.”
“Don’t.”
“I thought you wanted me back here.”
“I do...but you’re giving up your dream for me. That is only going to cause you to hold bitter resentment and eventually we will break up, but it’ll be so much worse than this. It will be horrible and there will be lots of tears! W-What about Hoon? He was waiting for us to officially break up before he tried to make a move.”
“Alexander. I’m doing this because I want to. Because I want to be with you that badly; please don’t leave me for someone else. We’ve been together for years! I love you more than you will ever know and more than anyone could ever love you. Please re-consider.”
“Leave me alone. Just for the night, I really want to be alone.”
“Alright, I will.”
He climbed off the couch and helped Alexander to his feet. Joon wasn’t prepared to let go of such a long, genuine relationship because of something as silly as someone having feelings for Alexander. There were plenty of people in America that asked him out. Saying that his boyfriend back in Korea would never know; but he didn’t care. None of the people were Alexander and all Joon wanted was Alexander.
He leaned in to kiss him softly, pleasantly surprised when Alexander returned the kiss. He took one last look before leaving the apartment and heading to his hotel. He wouldn’t lose Alexander, he loved him too much.

Kevin hung up; he was on the phone with Kibum, simply talking about his day when Kiseop came knocking on his door in tears. He had managed to calm him down from the babbling mess he was when he walked in, but he still didn’t understand what was happening. Kevin strolled back into the living room with the tea and cookies. Tea always calmed Kiseop down.
“What’s going on hyung?”
He sat next to him and gently put an arm around Kiseops shoulder. He’s never seen Kiseop like this.
“I went back to selling myself. My mom needed the money. Since my father passed…”
“Eli found out?”
He nodded slowly.
“Well, since you’re telling me this. I’m cheating on Kibum hyung.”
Kiseop turned his head, puzzled.
“A jerk at my school is forcing me or else I won’t be able to pass. I can’t transfer or tell the cops because his uncle is the dean. I’d be in debt with a law suit and no one to believe me.”
“I guess that makes sense. You should at least tell Kibum hyung don’t you think?”
“If Eli reacted the way he did while you’re helping your mom, how do you think Kibum will take it? It’s just school to him. He doesn’t really mind if I don’t go.”
“Everything is really complicated for you both. You never seem to get an easy break.”
“Never. At least I have my friends though.”
Kevin sighed hard and started mixing his tea. Nothing could be harder than lying to someone you love. But he firmly believes it is the only thing he can do to stay in school. What Kibum doesn’t know won’t hurt him.
He hoped.
