This is what we have done for the past 2 weekends or so in photos. It revolves around shop, eat and me cam-whoring abit.
A long eternity ago, it was my roommate last day at work and in Shanghai, and it was also the day my shoe gave up on me.
introducing.... YaCong! my roommate. Together we braved the mosquitoes, killed dozens of them, braved stinky bedsheets and slept on them(my bedsheets do not stink now btw. cus I am using the one I bought from singapore)

next, say "hi" to the hole in my shoe.
I was walking to work that Friday morning when I suddenly realize that the sole of my feet is wet. At first I thought nothing of it, thinking that it was just my own imagination, then as I walked on and on, it starts to feel real, the wetness. So I lifted up my leg, and this is what I see.

Till now, the shoe sits outside my room, waiting for me to bring it to the cobbler. I hate you Far East, sell me such cheapo shoes. Now I am left with only one more pair of covered shoes. You might think that buying shoe should be an easy chores, but like all Asians country that I have been too, the shoe sizes here are SMALL. It makes buying shoes difficult for me :(

One of my favourite top that I bought here in Shanghai.

These Pocky sticks are damn good... it is the best ever Pocky sticks I have ever eaten. It is Pocky Mousse, and unlike your normal pocky, the outer covering is very thick and creamy, and there is more coating than biscuit! YUMS!My favourite flavours are green tea and mango, the rest are just okie

Our customary shot before we head out to our adventures every weekend. This weekend we are going......七浦!
I must introduce 七浦 properly. In Shanghai, the locals call it 七浦, 小七 or Cheap Road. Guess why it is call Cheap Road! Hint, say 七浦 very quickly 10 times, and what do you get? CHEA-PU! Get the very lame China joke? Anyway, here is 七浦

At 七浦, there is this very famous 生煎包 shop that you must go if you happen to visit Shanghai.
![](http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d175/judo123/DSC02440.jpg)
The 生煎包 is made on the spot and each batch of the 生煎包 is carefully fried, simmered in its own juices before it is sold to you. We bought 两量 of it and head to the HK cafe nearby where we had our proper meal.

Does not look fantastic, but once you start to eat it, you are a changed person, it is THAT GOOD.
As it is with 小龙包,what you do is that you bite one small mouth, let the juices flow out, drink the juices and then eat the 包with vinegar and ginger.
![](http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d175/judo123/DSC02444.jpg)
can you see the juices flowing out?
![](http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d175/judo123/DSC02445.jpg)
It fills 2 spoonful. The juice is unlike those of 小龙包, the juices here is more savory and full of meaty flavour, when you drink it, your mouth is filled with an explosion of flavours. Sweetness from the meat, the slight oily taste that does not make you cringe and there is this hearty taste to it that warms your stomach and your body when you drink it. VERY NICE.

The 包 itself is good too, the skin is crispy and has lots of sesame seeds on it, the meat is tender and they are very generous with it, but as I said, the main attraction of this dish is really the juice.

My beef hor fun. Not too bad, the hor fun has the wo hei taste, but they can be more generous with the beef slices.

老干妈, a very popular brand of chilli in China, took this photo because I am very amused by the brand name, sounds like a bad word. Haha.
I bought this chopstick kind of hair pin to bun my hair, but I dont seem to have much success with it
![](http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d175/judo123/DSC02450.jpg)
This is my only successful attempt, but since then, I have failed to replicate my success.

My buys of the day! Mixed and matched to suit the local fashion sense, together with their favourite past time on the MRT.
