Christmas words

Christmas = cherries, strawberries, raspberries, chocolate, pohutakawa, friends, family, sunshine, beaches, BBQs, trifle, presents, stockings, holidays, fairy lights...?

I love our living pokutakawa Christmas tree, it is covered in fairy lights - I just need to find a Tui to put on top.

A Tui would look amazing on top

Yeah - we know lots of Northern Hemisphere expats who get weird cognitive dissonance about Christmas. I suspect it'd be the same if we went to the NH and Christmas was suddenly all about snow, evergreen trees, wearing too many clothes, eating starchy food and having blazing fires.

"It's all wrong! Christmas should be at the beach in the sunshine eating strawberries!"

I think we have enough of the snow/northern imagery etc that it's not so bad going the other way.

I loved my snowy Canadian Christmas :-)
