Yeasty Dog Ears - Diet Change?

Hey dog people, Zinny Greyhound has repeated issues with ear itchies and ear gunk. It's not mites, and we keep getting Otomax for it. I have read that changing the diet can be helpful for persistently junky ears, but I am hesitant to randomly google about dog nutrition cos there's a lot of nutty woo-woo stuff out there. i'd try one of the fish and potato diets for her. ear itchies can be the result of allergies and fish and potato will often work well for that. california natural makes a really nice one (herring and sweet potato. yummy.)

I was gonna say the same thing last night... (except that my keyboard doesnt wanna talk to the computer so that was difficult but i've since stolen a computer and am able to type again... way more info than you needed, sorry...) could possibly an allergy thing... try a food with a different protien source and see how it goes.

and it might take a while to work out.. most food trials recommend at least 8 weeks before you see a difference, so dont be discouraged if after a week or so she's still itchy...
