We're entirely moved out of the old place as of Thursday last, and it's so good to get over that hurdle. The new house is not quite ready yet; we're aiming for the end of July. The inspector for the rough electrical work comes today while the walls are still open. A plumbing inspector should be coming through soon as well, and somewhere along the ( Read more... )

I am pretty good at painting, but not free during the day. However, work is half an hour closer to you than home, so after work (I get out c. 5pm) works. (hinthint)

I would feed you good :)

The most daunting thing first is sheetrock, on ceilings. That stuff weighs a ton, lifting it overhead will be a pain in the butt.

I only have kitchen colors figured out, and a vague guest room idea. I spose I ought to get on that!

I am, as you know, sort of short for sheetrocking ceilings, but if you're desperate...! I can mud and sand, though.

hah I was just meaning to say that painting isn't quite next on the list....not soliciting you for hard labor! I think Dad has a brilliant makes-it-easier idea for getting it up on the ceilings but I forget what it is. Anyhow just keep your paintin' arm limber....and be prepared to poke around the pond and woods too :)

and skritch the dogs for me =) If my beloved hubby wasn't working so many hours I'd volunteer his butt over to your place to paint - he still owes doberkim a painted bedroom though LOL

absolutely saving pics :) They're on Andy's camera though and I haven't had the heart to nag him to upload yet, with all that's been going on.

LOL gosh it'd be a hike wouldn't it? I'm tired just thinking about it, I suggest sofa and a chilled beverage instead ;D

I'm really, really glad things worked out. Hopefully they'll be good and give your deposit back. Fingers crossed! It sounds like you've got some great progress on the new house. I can't wait to see pics of it when it's done!
