My life is better it ever was.

I've been slacking with posting on this thing. I guess I feel like I have nothing interesting to say. I eat, sleep, work, and occasinally take a nice long walk. Other than that, I've got nothing. I'm broke, bored, excited, and scared. I'm waiting to get the go to take the boards. I got word from the NCLEX company/headquarters that they received ( Read more... )

Some advice that might not be helpful. phoenixelement June 2 2007, 03:39:26 UTC
The only time I've ever smoked (seriously) wasn't long enough for me to get addicted so it wasn't hard to stop. However, I've seen a lot of people who smoke and who've tried, and what I've seen over and over again that works the best is going cold turkey. One of my brothers tried to cut down each day until he stopped but he can't get past I think like three a day. My mom went cold turkey and took up so other kind of activity to keep her mind off of it. Worked well for her. I have a friend who's gone cold turkey, and it's worked for him as well thus far (it's only been four days, but he seems to be okay). That's my advice for what it's worth. Good luck!

Yeah, after talking with a lot of people, that seems to be the most popular advice. And the more that I think about it, the more I am considering it. I'm stuck at a couple a day and can't seem to get past it. It's such a tease! I can't reall afford to smoke either so thinking about all the money I would save is motivational. I also think that by working 12 hour shifts where I can't smoke at all in those 12 hours will be a big help. Thanks for your advice! :)
