I think I'm burning out on my job already. Now I see why there is a nursing shortage. Yesterday was insane. I didn't get into work until almost 11:00. It was something with a hose. There was a hole or something. I don't even know the whole story.

What kind of pumps do you have? Did you used to have Baxters?

I wanna say they are Plum As. I'm not sure what they used before that. I'm pretty sure they got these new ones from Hell. They have a med library in them and they keep track of every move you make. It's great to prevent errors because if you are giving a lot of one drug, it warns you and in some cases won't let you. But they are so complicated. I was back-priming some antibiotic and then the drug just disappeared from the library and I got really pissed because I thought I hung something on my own with no problems. The other nurses got training on these things and I did not. So it's very frustrating!
