I've not been doing a whole lot, but the past few days I actually spent a few hours to actually finish a section of my heraldic embroidery project. The section is known as Quarter 4, and has the pomegranate and the columbine as the two biggest motifs. This is actually the second section I've added gold to, but the first of the two I am finished

2) Love the change in direction of the shading on the blue thingy (I can NEVER remember what they are called!). Very clever!

And I can't take credit for the color changes. That's how the original was done, mostly. I think they used 3 shades of blue, but I used 2 shades except for the central part of the columbine.
And I have to look up the name for that flower, as I forget as well. Thankfully I named it on my first entry for the design, so I can go back and look it up.

I started the gold on the last 2 "quarters", which covers about 40% of the overall image. There is another half side to work on with qtrs 1 & 2, and the end flowers that aren't in a quarter section on their own. Then there is the middle part with my heraldic arms, which I think I will work on next, just to do something different, sorta. It will be worked on a separate hoop and added in to raise it up a bit more.
