Ok, so I'm behind a few days and a fair bit has happened (it was something of a whirlwind for me, and I didn't have a lot of time to myself to write all of this up before now, I'll get the photos up later)

That was so fun to read! I'm enjoying these recaps so far. Who are Katrin and Tobias? I didn't realize you were going to meet up with anyone you know, that's cool that you guys got to hang out.

I'm also very impressed you made it to the top of that belfry, yikes! Did you get a picture from the top?

Katrin and Tobias are German friends of my Mom, though are a lot closer to my age. I had actually expected to meet up with them a whole lot later, but I figured I should take the opportunity when it arose to meet up. There's still a couple other people I plan on meeting though most of the trip will be alone.

As for that belfry, there was no way I was going to go up there and not at least take down pictures! Seriously though, it was almost a hundred meters of teeny tiny spiral staircase! I was terrified especially on the way down that I'd slip off of the narrow steps and roll all the way to the bottom! (seriously, the steps are rough enough going up without a extra load. Going down, with in many places a third of your foot sticking over the edge is quite unnerving, doubly so when already tired!)
