Minekey: Braindeath

Authorities on the inevitable end of the wonderful app, that brought so many people together:

"Bah nothing special to be honest, they just screwed up everything with an user block, a profanity filter, increased control on content... they banned people with fake accounts (who was actually more fun to read than real ones...)

But in the end the biggest problem is that iThink it's a muslim domain now. No racism here, i don't have anything against them, and i never had anything, but i think i'm not really interested in reading all day corny opinions wrote about their repressed women who can only talk about relationships, and pseudo-scientific / pseudo-historical opinions by their men who ask themselves if feelings comes from the heart or brain.

Not that before the front page was interesting, but from time to time you could read something funny, interesting or controversial.... there was variety, including them in this variety, but now there's always the same music." (Emanuele)

"Fucking shitcunts.

Smug bastard Martin and Lukas and love. CUNTS!!!!!!

I just posted this: Why don't you lot fuck off to uThinQ where there is a block button instead of the best users you are driving out????

"The coalition are a bunch of cunts that have ruined this site."

FUCKING CUNTS!!!!!!!!" (Sir Ill Fartimore)

"the company seems a bit psycho. they can't decide what their position is." (Shannon)

"Minekey's business decision to go 'friendly' is a user experience disaster for them. I assume they expect some decline in numbers, but I am going to make the conjecture that overall it's going to be a larger long-term decline than they are expecting.

As a person who does site audits, and heuristic and large-scale user testing on a regular basis, I'm shocked that they rolled out this policy without any apparent focus groups, market testing or formal surveys of users. that's a no-no for large scale changes.

I wonder about this "board" they hired to run this adventure in purity." (Shannon elaborates)
