Chapter One
Hikaru sighed. The sun was beginning to set, the mix of yellow, orange, and purple splashed around the sky above, the clouds disappearing in the outburst of color. Blades of grass swayed in the gentle breeze and Hikaru closed his eyes. The trees around him whispered through the gentle rustle of the leaves, carrying with them secrets that man will never know.
I'M BRINGIN' SEXY BACK (YEAH!) THEM...
Hikaru nearly fell of the fence as he heard his loud ringtone. Cursing to himself, he jammed his fist into his pocket and grabbed his phone.
"Hai, moshi moshi?" He asked, irritated.
"Hikaru! Where are you? Are you almost at the airport?" Hikaru blinked.
"Kaa-san?! What are you--" Then it hit him; he was supposed to be halfway to Narita Airport by now to pick up his cousin and uncle.
"HIKARU YAOTOME!! I SPECIFICALLY TOLD YOU--"
"Hai hai kaa-san! I gotta go! Ja." He interrupted her in mid-sentence and flipped his phone shut. He jumped off the fence and dashed to the mini-van. He revved the engine just as a plane flew past overhead...

"Now boarding flight X9Y1Z to Narita, Japan." A cool female voice rang throughout the airport. A middle-aged man took a deep breath and lay a hand on his son's shoulder.
"This is it Keito." Keito didn't look up but just nodded and swung his backpack over his shoulder. His father gave him a grimace.
"C'mon, perk up will you?" Keito just sighed and procceeded towards the boarding area. His father watched him with a small frown before following.

Sakura skimmed through the lists of flights and searched for her own. At last, she spotted it and quickly scanned for the corresponding luggage pick-up area number. She grabbed her bag and whirled around.
SMACK!
"Oh crap!"
"Hm, that wasn't so bad..." Sakura's eyes widened as she scrambled to stand up. She meant for her hand to help her push off of the ground, but instead, she felt something...squishy?
"Uh, that's my face you've got there..." Sakura blushed a bright crimson but shock couldn't seem to make her move her hand.
"Ah, sumimasen, demo, your hand is on my face." He repeated in fluent Japanese.
"O-Oh! Oops, my bad, I-I mean, err..." Sakura's cheeks turned an even brighter red as she had finally gotten up. The boy followed suit and rubbed his head.
"Sorry, my mistake..." He said, this time in English. Sakura couldn't seem to get the blush away from her cheeks. Uwaa, British accent! Sweet!
"No, it's my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going..." The boy's eyes widened a bit then he smiled.
"Neither was I, so at least let me help you gather your things." He gestured to her bag, with several of its contents strewn across the floor. She blushed again.
"T-Thanks." She mumbled and began gathering her possessions. She smiled a little to herself, despite the her fast heartbeat and sweaty palms. As she reached for her cellphone, the boy had also reached out and their hands collided. Both snatched their hands back and looked away. Sakura counted to ten in her head and slowly reached out for her phone. The boy was making himself busy by "searching" for other stray items. She grabbed her phone and stood up, as did the boy, and their heads collided this time.
"Ouch!" They exclaimed, their voices overlapping one another. Sakura looked down and her bangs covered her face. Can he see my face?! PLEASE tell me he can't! She heard footsteps and peeked through her bangs.
"Keito, what's going on? Your cousin's here." She saw a man talking to the boy, and then looking her over curiously and back at the boy.
"O-Okay Dad. I'll come in a sec." She didn't see him shooing is dad away because she pretended to be busy looking for something in her bag. After a few more seconds, she looked up and saw him looking at her.
"Well, now you know my name." He grinned at her and she couldn't help but to laugh. What the hell? He's going to think you're a freak! Then again, I did squish his face...
"In all fairness, my name is Sakura." She held out her hand and he shook it.
"So, how long are you staying in Japan for?" He asked in a mild tone, a trace of curiosity outlined his words. She tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear before answering.
"I'm actually coming to live here. I don't know how long though." She added in the last part on a whim. She didn't want to stay there for the rest of her life, they couldn't make her.
"Really? I am too!" He exclaimed. Her head shot up and she smiled.
"Well, at least I know someone." He laughed and picked up his bag.
"Yep. I have to go now, so here," Keito took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it.
"It's my Japan line. Call me up!" Before she could reply, he had already begun walking. Sakura smiled to herself. Looks like it wasn't a complete loss coming here. With a satisfied hop, she went off to get her luggage and strolled away.

"I'm late, I'm late, I'm late, I'm LATE!" Hikaru chanted to himself. He was already close to 150km per hour. He was surprised that no one had caught him yet. After what seemed like forever, he had reached the parking area and nearly jammed the parking ticket machine. He punched the 'up' button and was pacing back and forth, waiting for the elevator doors to slide open. Once they did he darted inside and punched the 'Ground Floor' button. As soon as the elevator doors slid open once again, he ran out and swivelled his head from left to right, trying to find the "International Arrivals" area. When he spotted it, he yelled out loud.
"HAI! THERE IT IS!" People glanced awkwardly in his direction but he didn't seem to notice. But once he got to the Arrivals, he didn't see anyone except for jostling crowds and a girl and a boy talking to each other in English. His lower lip jutted out as he thought deeply. Ne, when was the last time I even saw my cousin? I don't even know if I'll recognize him! Maybe he has blonde hair like all those England people. Then he felt a tap on his shoulder and he looked over his shoulder to see a man smiling up at him.
"Is that you Hikaru?" The man spokein English and all Hikaru could do was smile and nod. What the hell?
"Ah, sumimasen. It's me, Okamoto Kenichi." He recognized that name.
"Uncle?!" His eyes lit up and he involuntarily gave him a hug. He heard his uncle laugh and patted him on the back.
"Hai. Hold on, let me get Keito. Wow, you two have grown so much!" Hikaru laughed.
"Well, I'll be looking forward to seeing him." He bowed and his uncle inclined his head and then started off in the direction of the boy and girl. No matter, as long as I'm not late! Still, I think I might have to figure out this English thing. What if my cousin doesn't even know Japanese?! It seemed that problem after problem liked to creep up on Hikaru and he just couldn't deal with it. At least, that's what he thought.
