Chapter 4
10:00 P.M.
"I don't know anymore. He's completely changed. It's just not the 4 of us anymore." Ashley whispered.
"Yeah well he just managed to blend in with a new crowd and since Kyu goes to Hikoshi now, things weren't meant to stay the same anyways." Kyoko eyed the open bag of barbecue chips as she spoke. Ashley smiled and grinned.
"You know you want some..."
"Whatever man! We already finished a stack of pringles, a box of extra-large pizza, a bof of spicy chicken wings, one litre of coke, and not to mention all your leftovers from last night!" But it seemed that by every word, Kyoko's eyes showed nothing but hunger and need, and Ashley just laughed.
"Gah! Just eat it!" Ashley held it in front of Kyoko's face. Then she gabbed it.
"Fine, just a few more then..." The two girls giggled as they continued eating the night away.

"Oh looky! Penguins! Kawaii! Hehehe..." Then the penguins came up to him and began talking.
"Daiki! Dai-chan! Hey!" Strange. They sound like Matsumoto-senpai. Daiki listened closely. Then five penguins stepped forward into a straight line and then...They started....singing?
OMOIDE ZUTTO ZUTTO, WASURENAI SORA FUTARI GA--!
Daiki woke up and grumbled. Who'd be calling at this hour? Somehow, he knew the answer before he answered his phone.
"M-Moshi moshi?" He muttered.
"Dai-chan!" Figures.
"What now Yama-chan? Normally people sleep at this time y'know!"
"I know I know, but I had a NIGHTMARE!" Daiki sighed. Not again...
"What about it?" He asked apprehensively.
"Well, I was having this dream right, in Strawberry Land--"
"Sorry, WHAT Land?"
"Strawberry Land! Anyways, so I went to the Strawberry Palace--"
"Okay, Yama-chan this is getting ridiculous. Next thing you know, you're telling me that the Royal Strawberry Family is chasing you and you're running away from gigantic STRAWBERRIES!" Daiki heard a sharp intake of breath on the other line.
"WOW DAI-CHAN! How did YOU know?!" Daiki smacked his forehead. This was going to be a long night.
00:00 A.M.
"I'm thirsty. I'll be back!" Ashley jumped off the bed and tiptoed to the kitchen. It had been a while since she and Kyoko had had a heart to heart. She was glad to get so much off of her chest but somehow she just couldn't tell her about that irritating embarrassment she feels everytime she sees Daiki. Maybe it's because I don't get a good vibe or something...Yeah...that's it... But she was glad that Kyoko chatted on and on about how funny and understanding Keito was.
"So you like him? Just like that?" Kyoko shrugged.
"Nah, I mean I like him so far but I need time you know? Besides, you've got RyRy, so stop prying!"
"Oh jheez, I don't call him that anymore!"
"Yeah right! You liar, jheez, what a fail. I saw you doing the peace sign when you were on the phone saying 'JA RYRY!'" Ashley hurled a pillow at her.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" They continued laughing quietly.

"Finally, I get some sleep!" Daiki mumbled to himself. The clock ticked and Daiki was slowly drifting off...
KAGAYAITA NO WA, KAGAMI DEMO, TAIYOU--!
"GAAAAAAAAH!" Daiki cried out in frustration.
"HELLO?!"
"Dai-chan! Why?! WHY OH WHY?!"
"Eh, Keito?" Daiki was momentarily shocked.
"YES! It's Keito! Do you honestly think I'd call you at a time like this? Well no, normally I'd be sleeping or reading a good book, but NO! YAMA-CHAN called telling me about his stupid dream and then saying, 'Oh, Dai-chan told me to call!'"
"Eeeh?!" Daiki had never seen Keito lose his temper and this was how it was like, yet Daiki felt soothed. Odd.
"Calm yourself will you? Look, just try to sleep okay? We'll talk to him tomorrow."
"But--"
"Oyasumi Keito."
"Demo--"
"Keito..."
"Oh c'mon Dai--"
"GOOD. NIGHT." Daiki quickly flipped his phone closed and threw it aside then buried his face into his pillow.
6:00 A.M.
"Psst, what are we doing tomorrow?" Ashley poked Kyoko.
"Hmm, I don't know. HSM3's out, you wanna go? Oh, and technically it's later on today, it's six in the morning." Kyoko shifted around.
"Ha-ha, you think you're soooo smart..."
"Pfft. That's because I AM smart!" Kyoko smirked.
"PFFT. PSSSHAW. PUUH. PFFFSSSHHT. WHATEVER! Oh yeah?! Why don't you go eat a donkey?" Ashley spat.
"Why don't YOU go eat a cow?" Kyoko retorted.
"Oh yeah?! Why don't you go eat....uhh...uh...BEEF!" Kyoko hit Ashley with a pillow.
"BA-KA! Cow's ARE beef idiot."
"Pfft. Whatever man, go to sleep!"
"Why don't you!"
"YOU!"
"YOU!" Slowly, the girls drifted off into the unconscious.

Finally, Daiki was able to go to sleep. No phone calls for six hours straight. Talk about accomplishment!
RING, RING, RING, RING...
"Why. Me." Daiki slammed his hand on to his alarm clock.
"DAI-CHAN! WAKE UP!" Daiki groaned.
"HAI, KAA-SAN!" I am going to KILL Yama-chan...
The normal time for people to be awake. 11:00 A.M.
"Ohayo Ashley, Kyoko-chan! We're going out today, so you guys feel free to do what you want, just be back before dark!"
"H-Hai kaa-san..."
"Arigatou gozimasu Domiyou-san." With that, Ashley's mom left and the two girls lay still and listened to the front door slam.
"So, are we still on for the movies?" Kyoko sat up in her bed.
"Mmmph...Yeaah..." Ashley grumbled.
"Get up..."
"I'm awake I'm awake!" Ashley struggled to sit up and hung her head, her hair in her face.
"Ashley..." Kyoko moved the hair away and saw that Ashley's eyes were still closed.
"ASHLEY!"
"WHAT WHAT?!" Ashley's eyes snapped open and Kyoko laughed.
"Hurry up and get dressed." Kyoko was already across the room throwing a pile of clothes at Ashley.
"Haha, fine fine jheez...."

KOTO KARA ITSUMO, MIERU YOU NI--
"What?!" Daiki answered.
"Hey, you wanna go to the movies?" It was Keito sounding just as quiet as usual.
"Sure, might as well."
"Cool, I'll meet you there in a half hour."
"Alright, who else is going?"
"I don't know, I thing Yama-chan and someone else, but I forget who." Daiki sighed.
"OKay then, see you there. Ja."
"Ja ne!" Daiki's day was planned out perfectly. Go to the movies, maybe eat, tell of Ryosuke, and go home. I like it.
At the movies...
"Here are your tickets, and enjoy your movie!"
"Arigatou!" Kyoko and Ashley sat down on a small bench and put their tickets into their pockets.
"We still have fifteen minutes left until the movie starts." Ashley played with her shoes.
"Might as well sit here, or do you want to line up--"
"EEEH?!" Ashley looked up and Kyoko turned around.
"MATSU-MATSU-OH MY FRIKEN GAWD YOU'RE MATSUMOTO JUN!" Ashley screamed and Kyoko held her back.
"Calm down horsey!" The man smiled at the pair and Kyoko looked at him apologetically.
"Gomen, she's normally normal...Okay, well she's actually pretty crazy but not like this!"
"It's alright! As long as you got her held back!" He added teasingly. Kyoko grinned.
"You can count on me! Demo, what brings you here?"
"Oh, well, I was going to meet up with...Oh look! They're here!" Jun waved in the opposite direction and Kyoko and Ashley both looked.
"Oh-"
"My-"
"Gawrsh."
"K-Kyoko-chan?"
"Ashley-chan?"
"Daiki-kun?"
"Keito-kun?"
