Two weeks ago, ye olde desktop decided it didn't want to cooperate with me anymore and won't let me log on. Bit of a bummer that as I had reminded myself not too many days prior to start backing up my files. Premonition maybe

As for laptops: i really like them. Mainly because they can be taken wherever I feel like working (school or a cafe) and can be dragged around in the apartment in case I feel like watching a movie on it in my bed. A good laptop, however, might be more expensive than a desktop of similar specifications...And I don't really like the touchpad either, but there is no reason why one can't use a mouse with a laptop. Also, today's laptops are usually much lighter than ones 5-8 years ago and battery life is usually better too.

Well, some of that and 12 hr work days don't allow for much in-between sleeping, driving to/from work and general household stuff. Friday was a complete waste of day. I was so tired after I got home from work, I slept all day. I try on my days off not to sleep more than five-six hours. That allows me to have some time while it is daylight to do something constructive.
My neighbours frown at me vacuuming at 3am in the morning. Or shredding paper.
I really miss my smartphone. It will be awhile before I can afford that again though. One upgrade at a time. :)
I'd be more than happy to cuddle up with Louis, and Colonel Young in his stasis pod.
