Oh yeah, I know there are Singaporeans on my friends list (and possibly Singaporean lurkers too)!

Tell me, o Singaporean friends of mine, what is life like in Singapore? Is it as safe and clean and awesome for shopping and the arts as I've heard? Gimme as much details as ya want!

As to why I'm asking ... I'm gonna keep that to myself for now. ;)

Yes it's safe and clean and awesome for shopping... though it is somewhat expensive :p

The arts? I suppose it's good for that too - depending on which avenue you're going for.

I'm no expert but if there's anything specific you'd like to know just ask :)

Safe and clean, definitely. Shopping's pretty good too, but I'm kinda spoiled by the shopping experience in the US to rave about the shopping here. *lol* As for the arts, that's not really my thing so I don't really know. :P

Safe, yep, also clean, it depends on where you go if you want awesome shopping. Some places are ridiculously expensive but if you know where to shop (hint: Bugis), then you'll have no problem getting cheap bargains.

I wouldn't know about nightlife since I don't party or whatever but Zouk seems nice that one time I went in lol but the art scene is slowly expanding. I think. Lol. There are frequent indie films being shown, we have a couple of museums (Arts, Asian Civilizations, etc.) but we only have one theme park, sadly.

TBH I've always had a love-hate relationship with Singapore, but I can't imagine living anywhere else in the world. It's pretty much got everything I could ever want, lol.
