Yay! Today we finally started baking! I guess we were all a bit disoriented when we started, but everything in my team turned out okay. The cookies tasted alright and they looked pretty good. The teacher said it was the first time she saw teams that went in the kitchen together make cookies from different batches and looked nearly identical ( Read more... )

I love cookies! What kind? Chocolate chip? Oatmeal Raisin? Peanut Butter? Bar? Drop? Cut out? Can I have one?

We baked chocolate chip cookies with chopped almonds yesterday and my kitchen baked almond mango cookies today.

Almond Mango Cookies
1 lb almonds (chopped)
1 C granulated sugar
3/4 C mango-dice
2 egg whites

Mix together almonds, sugar, and mangoes
Add egg whites into the mixture one at a time
Put flour on the board
Make dough into small balls
Place in refrigerator (we put it in the refrigerator overnight)
Mix all the balls in a bowl again
Make into small balls again
Place on cookie sheets
Bake for 12-15 min until ready
When cookies are done, dip into powdered sugar
