Wow. Wow wow wow. I would love to say that maybe as she grows up she'll change her mind, but that's just ridiculous that she is even thinking that way at all. It's really depressing to think that your own family wouldn't accept you and still love you because the person you love happens to be the same sex/gender as you. I wish we didn't live in a world where homosexuality was viewed as wrong and disgusting. I feel like the world would suck a lot less if that were the case.

Me too. My friend, Franci, said that it might change if I were to actually get a girlfriend, but I don't know. I don't think so. She's grown up 26 years with the same ideas, I don't know how I could change them.

I agree with pretty much everything elessar said. It's so ridiculous that people still react this way about same-sex relationships. My sister and dad are the same way :(

I'm nearly in tears again because I talked to her for the first time today. I asked her if she'll tell mom, and she told me no, but then she said, "I wish you hadn't told me." And she wouldn't look at me and I honestly don't think it'll ever be the same.

Thank you, April. I sure hope things will change. Right now I'm afraid she won't look me in the eye anymore. We'll see.

I don't think she ever has to LIKE it, but I think she should accept it and not look down on you for it. And I don't think that's impossible to come to. Give it time.
