Thanks for this We were listening to Horne on the way home from our road trip this weekend, and I am singing some of her repertoire on an upcoming concert.
My dad died of pancreatic cancer, after undergoing every experimental treatment his oncologist would approve him for. He held on longer than anyone thought he would manage, a full two years after his diagnosis, at which point he was pretty advanced.
It's good to know that progress is being made, and that it could help such a magnificent artist.
