i should comment on peoples lj more often
but i always try to reply to comments on mine

currently only posting in all rise because i be translating old things

although I might post the translations on my lj too
problem is a lot of my friends are a lot better at translating than I am so I always feel bad because they might come and say THAT'S WRONG
and then I'll cry

When you say "that's wrong" do you mean the translation is wrong or that it's wrong to post it?

there's kangin stuff translated but not by me yet...
in the next few days I should have his super show interview translated though

mainly that my translation is wrong, esp since translation is open to interpretation to a certain extent
I think posting it would be ok, since i'd credit myself using my sj-world username
but there are really 3 people on my friendslist who i find it hard to take criticism from
and while I know 2 would discuss it with me and it would be really interesting
(I'm sad but discussing the intricacies of translation is something I find particularly interesting)
one of my friends though still hasn't forgiven me really for translating for sj-world (when it really was a case of being asked by one friend before another *sigh*) so if she criticised it it would be completely different

I think people have to remember that translation is open to debate and interpretation can change a lot. here are a lot of books and movies and view spiritual views and loads other stuff which have been written about or produced with different ideas and expressions. I think your "commenters" need to remember that and should not critisize you your your interpretation.
