Okay. Desperate Housewives just became my least favorite show a few minutes ago. I never thought that I would hear such a stupid and degrading remark about the Philippines in this show... I should have known better. I am not over reacting. Laugh all you want.

So Teri Hatcher's character says this after being told that she might be experiencing

I could definitely see how that would be very insulting and don't blame you for being upset at all. Especially since shows made in the states make remarks like that to get laughs all the time, without really thinking about how or who they are insulting. They do it so casually, which I think would make it all that much more insulting due to their ignorance.

Oh my goodness, I heard that on the news and I was all WTF?!?! I don't watch the show, and now I never will. What an incredibly stupid thing to say. Our med schools are uber competent, thank you very much. Fuck the scriptwriters. They don't know what they're talking about.

Apparently that idiot of a writer needs to get his perception checked. I saw the video too. If they think that you guys, who are enrolled in a medical course, aren't quite reliable in your career, it's more probable that those guys don't realize how awful the lack of morals in their shows are and are therefore more endangered in getting their bottoms kicked out of the job.
