I know, I neglected LJ the last weeks, but there was not much to read either. Such a pity a lot of people moved on to other places, but it seems that's how things go

Oh no, that's horrible news about Freya! I hope she gets better really fast. Do you know how she got thrombosis? I'd be worried sick if that happened to someone in my family, so I completely understand you not handling it too well. *hugs*
Freyja is not a very active person and overweight, but we (the medics and I) think the initial trigger was a very long trip by bus. Seven hours just sitting around is not very healthy for the veins. We're all worried sick, because no one can tell if the thrombus will be going to stick at one place, or if the bigger part will continue to wander around and do some damage to even more critical parts. That would be the final blow.
Keep the daylight lamp handy and use it on those over cast and rainy spring days. It might help keep your overall mood stable so that when you use it mostly in the winter your body will adjust quicker.
Holy crap! Frejya! *flails arms about wildly* Tell that girl to take care of herself. Let her know there are bunches of internet persons rooting for her.
I feel you on the car repair stuff. I have critters that need tending and a car that needs a new front end. (And no money for either atm)
I'm sorry about C. I know how it feels and it sucks. :(
I never thought of using the daylight lamp other than in winter, but what you say makes absolutely sense. I was wondering why vitamin D pills and using the lamp since december didn't work as expected, maybe it was too late into winter as I started with it. So I'll keep it on the table and use it as you said. Thanks, hun.
I'll let Freyja know, I know she's happy for any support she can get. I told her that was a big warning blow and I hope she'll take care of herself now. I just wish she'd known better before all that :(
You guys didn't have an accident by car if you speak of a new front end, did you? Hope you guys are okay!
I feel better about C. It still sucks, though. But it does not hurt that much as it did.
I still read, I still listen! *big hugs* Even if I don't post much, myself, anymore...I'm still reading! You can't get rid of me THAT easily. :D
I second the suggestion to keep the day lamp happy *handy (happy...really? Really, brain? Where on earth...the SO must've distracted me. Yeah... >.>). Honestly, I wish that tanning booths weren't so detrimental to your health, or I'd offer that suggestion...I did that one winter, when I was living in the far north, and it helped a great deal. The cost is something I can't justify, though, and I don't need to up my chances for skin cancer any more than my genetics already gave me, so I only did it that one year. And if I'm not willing to do it, I won't recommend it for others
