Hey!

Tablets are very useful for drawing, but I wouldn't know how useful they would be for photo editing, but I wouldn't know just because I don't edit photos! The one that I use, and the best one for portability, durability, whatever, is the Wacom Graphire Tablet.

That's what it looks like, but for some reason, their website (www.wacom.com) only shows the super new latest models. Don't pay more than $100 for it. It's about 4x5 or a bit smaller maybe.. but it's just enough for what I do, and I've had it for 5+ years now. You can buy them anywhere; check Future Shop or best Buy, I think I got mine at future shop.

I still say that the best program to use with the tablet is Photoshop! Any program uses the tablet, because it's just a pressure sensitive mouse. Your best bet is just to use photoshop, though. It takes advantage of the pressure sensitivity best :)

woot! thanks for the advice!

i definetly want it for drawing comics , but when i went to futureshop the dude said the only ones they sold were for photo editing?...upon further refection though he did look rather young and didn't really answer any of my questions so hopefully he just didn't know what he was doing and i'll go back or try best buy! mucho gracias! i def would have done something stupid like drop 400$ on something i didn't need. my wallet thnks you!

bah, don't listen to him. Just get a Wacom Graphire, or an Intuos, or anything you see on www.wacom.com and you'll know it's quality. Yes they can all be used for photo editing, but they can also be used as a mouse, or even a paperweight. the fact that you can use it to edit photos is like saying you can use a mouse to play games instead of using a joystick or something, hehehe. so yeah! get one! :D i wanna see your comics!
