I'm standing in the kitchen, arms folded and hunched over from being in a freezing conference room all morning, and a coworker barrels in and says this rapid-fire:

"That's a nice sweater. That's a really nice sweater. And I like your haircut. And I like the way it's cut in the back. You're doing good."

Bwah! Aren't people weird sometimes? But astute in this case, I'm sure. Did you want to turn around and answer really chipperly "Thanks, Chief! Johnny Olsen and I are headed out on a story!"? That's the tone I got from them anyway.

The back and neck crick from conference room meetings--just the mention of it makes me roll my shoulders.
