Well, I wasn't expecting to ship this of all things...
BRB gone to fujoshi heaven.
At the beginning of the episode Ian is being his usual pimp self, and displays some man-touching phobia when Daigo fanboys him via the shoulder.
It gives him some kind of flashback to when he wore a natty waistcoat.
Then whilst fighting the villain of the week (a jewel thieving monster with a silly hat), Daigo gets grabbed and Ian flips the fuck out.
Daigo realizes who Ian is under his suit when he gets another brush off.
During their next fight with the MoW Daigo saves Ian from smashing in to a car by grabbing on to his back, and taking the brunt of the impact himself.
Back in their base camp Ian finally de-henshins which shocks everyone else except Daigo. He then tells Daigo to stop trying to protect him. Which of course pisses off Nossan and Souji. Luckily Amy tells them to knock it off before Ian ditches them.
We next see Ian failing to score with a random lady. Daigo turns up to try and figure out why he hates dudes so much.
Cue Ian telling him about his boyfriend mentor Shiro (OMG it's Princess Ebi-chang!! My favorite black ranger EVER.) And how he failed to save him from being killed by the same MoW. (Just before he got offered the chance to be a Kyoryuger).
Then in the last MoW before the boring obligatory mecha battle Daigo (deliberately?) gets grabbed again. Unlike the others who are shocked at Ian turning up to save him, Daigo just seems pleased/assured that Ian would've come.
Ian asks Shiro for the strength to save Daigo, and manages conquer his aversion to man-touching via a mid-save hug.
Ian doesn't brush Daigo's hand off this time.
In fact they're all kinds of cute together now.
So cute it rains sparkles and now I ship them.
