Well Reagan was for sure not good in diplomacy... especially not with the soviet union.

I would assert just the opposite.

Who demanded the Berlin Wall come down, and with what effect after it had been there nearly 30 years? I am sure there would still be 2 Germanies without Reagan.

Reagan is popularly portrayed as a sleepy dullard. This is not true. Reading what the man actually wrote, as opposed to what his political enemies have said about him, reveals quite another person. Reagan was a far sharper, deeply read person than he is portrayed, vastly more so than Obama.
