Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.
1. Hunter
Well I saw the inclusion of this one coming. Hunter is my thoughtful and loving boyfriend who lives on a farm and does not drive. I try not to be part of one of those nasty couples you see macking on each other in the hallway, nor one of the ones that are so loveydovey that you want to vomit, but I have a little more trouble with the latter. We like to sit out in the sunny grass and lean against the freshman building while we eat lunch and occasionally just lean out heads together and close our eyes. I really dislike teachers knowing about my personal life and our relationship in particular because it weirds me out but according to Hunter, the only reason his (and previously my own) pre-calc teacher doesn't hate him is because of me.
2. Brain Bowl
This is where you will find me every Monday afternoon, sometimes reading, sometimes playing (but when it's the latter i usually just end up flirting with Hunter). The tournaments are always wonderful days regardless of whether we win or lose. I know I'm not the best player but I try to be a good president because this is the only club I'm in that I still care about. It makes me sad we didn't go to more tournaments this year, which I suppose I could have tried to help but Mrs. Page (our sponsor) seemed to put the kibosh on every out of town competition for one reason or another. We couldn't get in touch or we found out too late, etc. Usually I could justify it by reminding myself at least we would have state, but then that fell through due to lack of funding. Could I have done more for fundraising? Probably. We're not a very motivated club outside of trying to win the tournaments we get to.
3. FOB
Fall Out Boy will always have a special place in my heart as long as they keep putting out albums like TTYG and FAD and doing silly things like singing "Womanizer" in the bathroom with Ellen Degeneres and crafting Fall Out Boy Trail. I still try to keep up with Pete's blog and twitter as much as possible because I am fascinated with the way his mind works.
4. Copious amounts of cookies
I love to bake. Whether it's whipping up a batch of cupcakes from a boxmix or spending all morning making short bread penguins with a chocolate glaze and powdered sugar highlights, there is nothing I like more than crafting something delicious out of plain ingredients. Recently I made tasty peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Sometimes I just make half a recipe and more than once I have had issues cutting the required flour in half (I'm looking at you, New York Times chocolate chip cookie recipe that calls for two types of flour and fucks me up) and they end up way to thin and flat and it depresses me terribly when my baked goods don't turn out well. Favorite recipes: Lemon cookies (from a cake mix), good ol' chocolate chip (hunter's favorite), roll out sugar cookies that are fun to decorate (well that wasn't a very interesting list)
5. Converse
Minus a pair of atheltic shoes here and there (for when I need to like, walk and stuff) and a pair of vans I got summer '07 that are still in really good shape, I've worn pretty much nothing but converse for my high school existance. Black canvas (fell apart), brown suede with little plaid stars on the side (not too comfy, too thick), grey canvas (covered in the lyrics from the format's "swans" when i discontinued them as part of an entry for a contest they held, and currently, green canvas ones, signed by mc lars and with teal shoe laces. assorted lyrics on the rubber of course ("undone (the sweater song)", "disloyal order of water buffalos", "okay i believe you, but my tommy gun don't"). whenever i try to get ones with cute patterns, they NEVER have my size. i am still bitter about the grey argyle ones with little pink broken hearts. i need a new pair before this summer or at least before i go off to college. suggestions?i've thought of yellow, teal, maybe a simple pattern. i can order things off the internet now (well, in two weeks when i turn 18 and can get a debit card. and when i have money to spend.) so the options are limitless!!!
