I'm considering buying one of these, but I have a few questions.

How is the battery life?
How is the Mac compatibility?
How is the browser for things like youtube, facebook, and LJ?
Is there a good lite wordprocessing/notes app?
What's the best keyboard?

I have the original Fire, but the battery life is fair - maybe charge once a day if you have the wifi on and use it nonstop? I toggle the wifi off if I'm just reading and I was changing maybe once a week? Dim the screen and you'll save more. The brower works well for about 90% of things, I've never had an issue with LJ on it. Every now and then you'll find a video that's not mobile enabled, but that's how my android phone is, so it doesn't bother me.

The only thing I wish the original Fire had was Swipe instead of tapping to type.
