Everyone, I have very good news. Mayfield has seen fit to return some of my power to me; I can now grant wishes. I don't know exactly the limit, but I'm opening myself up to wish requests now.

[She pauses, confused, and speaks cautiously]

What do you mean?

I-I mean just... in case someone wants to use a wish for like... bad things!

But I do trust your judgment.

Ah, I'll try to be careful. Thank you, Conrad. [She smiles warmly, though he can't see it]

Do you have a wish I can grant?

It looks like we both got what we were going for the last time we talked.

Do you think my wish is grantable? To make people act with a little more kindness . . .

[She pauses and concentrates for a few moments-- though she knows that, even at full power it would be a little impossible for her to change everyone, she at least makes an effort.

After a moment, she sighs] ...I'm sorry, I don't think I can grant that wish at this moment.

I didn't think so. It's probably not one of those things that could be changed.

I think... I think that we can change it, bit by bit. Not all at once, but through our actions and our words, perhaps we can both strive to make people a little kinder?

H-how... how is something like that possible? Mayfield would actually return a power like that to someone?

Hm? They did, though like I said, I'm sure there are limitations.

R-Right. I'm sure the obvious, like "send everyone home" would be out of the question. I have to say though, that is the most astounding power I've heard since I've gotten here.

Oh, thank you. [She sounds pleased, at any rate] I'm glad it returned to me, even if only a bit. I felt a bit lost without it.

Do you have a wish?

Wishes? ... I have them. [ They are probably rather different from most peoples', but still. ]

Why do you want to know?

Because I could possibly grant it, and I would like to, after you've been so kind with me and letting me play with your bird.

[But don't worry, she won't tell anyone.] As I said, I'm not sure of the limitations, but I would like to try.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess that you can't send us all home, huh.

No, I'm afraid I can't do that. If I was at full power, however, I could.

I don't think Mayfield would slip up like that and give it all back to me, ever. [Sigh.]
