My thoughts: Kinematic Digit is a bit too obscure. it's not real clear what it is your business might do.
Third Planet Communications -- the only problem with this one is that "Third Planet" doesn't communicate anything about your or your business either.
Kinematic Imaging -- I think this is better, though to me it implies just photography...or x-rays.
Terrance Lam Studios -- I actually like this. I don't think it's pretentious and it gets your name out there, is clear that it's a creative company("studios" directly implies creative), and is open enough that you can do more than just photography. It can combine lots of work under the same name, leaving you more able to expand into many directions.
Another might be "Terrance Lam Creative" if Studios sounds too much like a movie production house.
One of the challenges is I'm trying to combine my Marketing knowledge with my Creative experience as a single name that explains it all. It might not be as easy as in a name.
Creative Marketing doesn't work for me it sounds like faking, the aim is not to be an agency, but to be something different, hybrid, better, redefined. I keep coming back to my name and like 'Studios' as it seems to not corner me into just 'creative'.
I like Terrance Lam Studios. The others sound very Teen-age boyish.
Third planet is dumb.. I would read that and instinctively think of a star trek geek in his parents basement with pizza, spots and 400 extra lbs.
Kinematic Digit is, as Sue said, obscure, and very teen-age boyish. It hiding behind a pseudonym.
Using your real name to me shows someone with more confidence behind their work and their ideas. If someone has their name on the company, it tells me that they are going to be more trustworthy and dedicated because they do not want their name sullied.
I like the Terrance Lam Studios too, but you can also combine the names, like Kinematic Lam Studios...hmmm...maybe not...or Terrance Lam Creations, or Lam Creations, or...
To me, "studios" comes with formal portraits being done, which I'm sure is PART of what you can offer, but its not all. I like using your real name as it does indeed show confidence in what you do and you are proud of it. How about Lam Creations and Marketing, or even add Terrance Lam Marketing and Creations, but that's bit of a mouthful.
I like something like the Terrance Lam Marketing and Design.
I highly suggest using your name, but when I read "Studio" I totally think of a portrait studio. It may be different for others in your field and they wouldn't be confused.
It is a little confusing I'm not chasing photographic jobs at all. I'm chasing Design and Marketing. Not sure still..... still pondering. I like using my name still.

My two cents :)

Or Terrance Lam Marketing and Design.
