Unfortunately, though, when he stopped in the kitchen to grab some food before heading out, he also stopped to read over the more recent journal entries while he ate. And when he ran across a particular one, he found himself frozen in place, unable to move or think or look away as all color faded form his face. Blood. Blood, flowing across the display so lifelike he could almost smell it, taste the tang in the back of his throat.

She'd already picked him up - taking care of Enki was, after all, her entire purpose in life - and Shouryuu crossed the room quickly to see what had happened.
That was when he'd caught sight of the journal.
He slammed Enki's journal shut with a bang and pocketed it along with his own, fully intending to deal with that later.]

[He glanced back at the kitchen, grabbed an couple of apples, and followed Yokuhi.]

[Because Rokuta's not making the jokes he's supposed to be making. Not that it makes Shouryuu worry or anything like that.]

[Despite the protest, though, he still reaches out to take the apple because sometimes he actually does obey and he wasn't entirely truthful about not being hungry.]
I was just a little startled, it's not a big deal.
