“Are
you ready to order miss?” The waiter asked me. It was 2:56pm and here I was in
Don’s Dinner for a lunch date. Is he late? No, I’m just early. Why? Cause my
class ended about a half hour ago in which I had nothing else to do.
“Oh
I’m waiting for someone… He should be here soon.”
“Okay, I’ll be back in
a while.” The waiter smiled and continued on.
The date was set for today
at 3, so he still had time. Why do I keep saying ‘He’? It’s not that I don’t
know his name, I just don’t know him. Blind Date? Yes. I can’t believe I let Dee
talk me into doing this. So what I haven’t been going out, messing around with
guys, or even had a boyfriend in some years, or getting some. There’s more
important things then sex and boys. Though, she right about me going out and
having fun. I’ve been so wrapped up in my studies and work that I don’t go
anywhere. Oh whatever, he just better be cute or me and Dee is go…
“Hi!
are you Danny, right?” The deep soft voice broke me out of my thoughts. I looked
up and had to control my jaw from dropping and my eyes from popping out of my
head.
“Umm, yes… Yes, I’m Danny.”
“Nice to finally meet you, I’m
Kikwang.” He reached his hand out.
“Nice to meet you too.” I smile,
taking his hand in my mine. I watched as those luscious lips of his kissed the
back of my hand. I know I’m blushing.
“I wasn’t expecting you to be
early.” he started.
“Well I had nothing else to do.”
“So tell me,
what do you do? Dee wouldn’t give me any info on you… Well beside the fact that
your sexy.” A devious smile crept on his face. Now that was sexy, but something
wasn’t right. Alarms was going off in head. That second voice was telling to get
the hell up out of there, but even if I wanted to I couldn’t move. I must be
overly excited or something. Dee hooked me up with him so I’m sure there’s
nothing wrong with him. Maybe it’s cause this is my first blind date. Yeah,
that’s why I’m tripping. Besides he’s to cute to be harmful.
“Oh you
know… School and work, studying and getting money… Just keeping myself
busy.”
“Yeah, so what are you studying?”
“I’m majoring
in…”
“Hey! Sorry to interrupt ya’ll date, but Kikwang we need to go.” Dee
can out nowhere and cut me off. Like seriously, where the hell did she come
from? Wait. Did she just say what I think she said?
“What do you mean you
we have to go?” He glared at Dee with sharp eyes. Kikwang seem both annoyed and
pissed. Makes me wonder when was last time he went out on date.
“It’s
Jihoon aka we got to go.”
The mad expression changed as soon as the name
Jihoon exacted Dee’s lips. “What? Is everything okay? Is Junho
alright?”
“He’s fine, and everything is okay… for now. We got to get
going Ki. Jihoon is waiting for us.”
“Okay I’m coming right after
you.”
“Cool… Oh Danny, I’m so sorry. I’ll try to bring him back as quick
and safe as possible… Ki, I’ll be outside.” With that Dee was gone.
“I
wish I could stay, but this is an emergency… I’ll get your number from Dee so
then we can finish where we left off.” He got up from his seat leaning over and
place a light peck on my cheek. “Later Danny.” Just like Dee he was gone. Wait!
What the hell is going on?
I
so wish I could of followed or tagged along with Onew and Cat, but I couldn’t. I
am to stay here and watch after the mansion and King Nichkhun. Besides Onew, I’m
one of the oldest and strongest Zoantropes to live. It sucks that there’s not
many of left, but being that it’s a gene thing I’m sure more Zoanthropes will
show up soon. Then we could finally get rid of those diseased things and that
creature they let walk this earth. That thing almost killed us all and yet they
protected it! They disgusted me!
“Ashley?” I turned and bowed knowing
exactly who it was.
“Your highness.”
“Please Ashley don’t. We’ve
known each other for how long… There’s no need for formalities.” He stood next
to me looking out the same window I was looking out of.
“Okay, what can I
do for you Khun?”
“We’re going to need to start training again. I will
NOT be defeated by that massacre on legs again.”
“I know Khun. Please
believe I won’t stand for it either. He shouldn’t exist.”
“None of them
should.”
“Don’t worry about it. When Onew gets back we’ll start
training.”
“We’ll train, but I’m going to need you to keep an eye on this
new born. You felt it, something is not right with this one. He or she maybe too
weak or if where lucky very powerful. Okay.”
“No problem.” It went silent
for a minute till something or more like someone ran across our lawn.
“Is
that a homosapien on my land… again?”
“I got him.” Without another word,
I took off to the back of the mansion where the guy was heading. He didn’t even
make it to the backyard before I stood in front of him. Stopping him in his
tracks. He stood wide eyed at the sight of me. “You people just don’t know how
to stay off other people’s property.”
I barely had to leap forward to
grab on him. “Hold on, wait… I’m sorry, I was just… “
“Just what?
Curious? So you decide to sneak over here to see what’s up?… Well today is your
lucky day.” I dragged him into the mansion and shoved him to his knee in front
of Nichkhun. “Looks like we got a spy.”
“Oh really? Tell me kid… what’s
your name.”
“G-G-Geun Suk… J-Jang Geun Suk.” He stuttered. God was he
scared.
“Well Geun Suk this is privet property that you just trespassed
on. Do you know what happens to people like you who carelessly comes on this
land?”
“Umm… G-going to jail.”
“Yes, that’s right. You’re going to
jail… Ash, lock him up till I decided other wise.”
“What? You can’t do
this!”
“Actually we can.” I finally said. He tried to fight me off, but
it was useless. Within a couple of minutes he was locked up. “Now sit there and
think about what you did.” Ha! Homosapiens. They just won’t ever
learn.
“Junho!”
I jumped at the sound of my name being called. “You got another gi… Oh! Jesus
Junho! Stop doing that.” The nurse freaked out after turning around and seeing
me standing there.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” I threw on my
infamous eye smile. Yes, I did. I always get a kick out of freaking out these
doctors and nurses.
“I don’t understand why I can’t ever here you
coming.”
“I’m just light on my feet.” More like I can levitate, but she
don’t need to know all of that.
“Sure you are… Here, take this
ridiculously huge teddy bear and go do something other then scaring
me.”
“Bitter much.” I laughed as her face turned up more then already
was. I stuff the large bear under my arm as much as could and skipped to the
room where they had couches and tv. “Oh STEPH!”
“What now lunatic?” She
said in a monotone. I guess she had another ‘Nightmare’.
“Look at what I
got!” I threw the bear so it sat next to her. Again, I laugh. She almost jumped
out her seat upon seeing a teddy bear that was damn there bigger then
her.
“What the?”
“Isn’t it just so CUTE!” I smiled hugging onto
the bear. It was so soft and fluffy.
“Who be sending you these
teddies?”
“My brother… I told you that.”
“Did you take your
medicine today?”
“Umm… Maybe!”
“It’s always the smart ones that
ends up jumping off the band wagon.”
“Well that will explain why you’re
here.” I finally move the bear to sit next to her.
“At least I have a
reason to be here, sadly. You know you’re brother is dead and yet, you sit here
and play as if he’s not.”
“That’s cause I not playing, and you know this
Steph.” You could hear how serious I was. The look on Steph’s face let me know
that I was right. She may not exactly know Jihoon this time, but she’s knows
that I’m not lying. She knows that he is alive. Every time her body cringes from
hearing his name it’s cause she knows she got some connection to
him.
“Maybe you do belong in here… Fucking crazy ass.”
“Aww
Noona!” I knew my face lit up with smile as I pulled her into a lonely hug.
“It’s okay… Hyung is on his way to get us, and then he can explain everything to
you!”
“I can’t believe this is my life.” She face palmed herself. “Get
off me… and I’m not you’re Noona!”
“You’re right… I’m what… almost a
thousand years older then you… So this makes me Oppa!”
“Nurse Grace!
Junho needs to go in the Padded Room!”
I swung my legs over hers to keep
her getting up, and instantly put on my puppy face. “No! Steph Noona! I want to
stay with you!”
“Oh God! Your like a spoiled little
brother!”
“Well I am.” My smile got a little bring from watching her
frown deepen. Oh Steph Noona, I really missed.
