Firiel: *seeks Arvi out*
Arvedui: *pacing in his room*
Firiel: *knocks on his door* Arvedui?
Arvedui: *starts at the sound, but attempts to calm himself as he opens the door* Firielel! Hi. *manages a smile*
Firiel: Hello... Can I talk to you?
Arvedui: Of course. Come in. *steps inside to allow her to go in*
Firiel: *enters and gestures to a chair for him* I wanted to tell you that I'm going to Rohan with Hanild as soon as she's ready...
Arvedui: *was moving to the chair at her gesture, but when he hears her words he sits heavily* o.o Oh. *trying to keep his calm*
Firiel: I'm only going for a small visit. I'll make my way home from there in a little bit.
Arvedui: *trying very hard not to wince* All right... If that's what you want. *tinytiny wince*
Firiel: *kneels beside him and takes his hand in hers* I promise I'll be home soon...
Arvedui: *nods to hide another wince* Good. Good... Just... Enjoy your visit. *wince*
Firiel: *notices* What is it?
Arvedui: *pats her hand* I simply wanted to be there to see your face as you see Fornost again. >.> *remembers his promise for her, so he does not avoid the question*
Firiel: *kisses the back of his hand* Would you meet me half way, so we could ride to Fornost together?
Arvedui: ...I... Yes, it seems like a good solution. Will you write to me?
Firiel: *nods* I will write before I leave. I am not certain how long the journey from Aldburg to Fornost is, though... I don't know how long it will take...
Arvedui: About a month, along the main roads in this season. >.>
Firiel: *sighs and nods* Then I will send a messenger a week or two before I plan to leave.
Arvedui: *nods* Thank you. *starts to speak, stops, and then changes his mind and says what is on his mind* Why do wish to go with Hanild?
Firiel: I want a little quiet time, and to spend time with her and her son...
Arvedui: Oh. *pauses* That is all?
Firiel: *nods* That's all. *kisses his hand*
Arvedui: *brings her hand to his mouth and kisses it gently* Then go, with my blessing. Will you be taking anyone with you save Hanild herself?
Firiel: Hanild's brother, Haleth. Other than him, unless Hanild is planning on taking someone else, it should just be the three of us...
Arvedui: *blinks* Haleth. That's a girl's name... Is he like Theoden? >.>
Firiel: No. He is the rest of us, no body-changing or anything of the sort, as far as I know.
Arvedui: ...It's still a girl's name.
Firiel: Perhaps the Rohirrim use it as interchangeable...
Arvedui: Perhaps. Though Helm might have been a bit drunk the night he was born. >.>
Firiel: Perhaps... *plays with his fingers* Thank you for letting me go...
Arvedui: *plays with hers in turn, turning it into something more resembling a dance of hands* You're welcome, love.
Firiel: *kisses a fingertip and sits next to the chair* When are you leaving?
Arvedui: The day after tomorrow, I think... Everything is ready, we... we were just waiting for you. >.>
Firiel: Oh. All right... come see me before you go?
Arvedui: *nods* I will. *kisses her hand again*
Firiel: *rests her head against his knee* I suppose it will be a few months before I see you again...
Arvedui: *wince* Yes.
Firiel: *wraps her arms around his legs and just holds them close*
Arvedui: *slides down to the floor and pulls her into a hug, the words he wanted to say forgotten in her embrace*
Firiel: *hugs him tightly, whispering* I'm sorry we have to be apart for so long because of this...
Arvedui: Shhh... We've endured, my love. *strokes her hair* We can wait a bit more. *doesn't say anything about the promised after-wraith-death-wedding thing*
Firiel: *kisses his cheek gently and holds him tightly* *seemingly reading his mind, though the thought is on hers, too* As soon as we get home, there will be a wedding, if you would like...
Arvedui: *loving look* There is nothing I would like more. When you return, then, if that is your wish.
Firiel: *nods and kisses him lightly* I love you, Arvedui. I always will...
Arvedui: And I love you, Firielel faelnin, always and forever. *kisses back and hugs her gently*
Firiel: *rests her head on his shoulder and holds him tightly, savoring his warmth while she has it*
Arvedui: *endeavorers to loose himself in her softness - her hair, her body within his arms, her breath - everything he commits to memory, labeled under 'Eru, so beautiful...'*
Firiel: *hums softly, closing her eyes and resting against him, and holds his arms tightly around her, never wanting to let go*
Arvedui: *gently cuddles her, closing his eyes as well and sighing contently, feeling the same*
Firiel: *nuzzles into him, softly* Would you write to me, Arvedui? While we're apart...
Arvedui: *small smile* Of course, my love. Nothing will stop me from it.
Firiel: *smiles gently and kisses* Thank you...
Arvedui: *kisses back* Anything for you, beloved.
Firiel: *brushes his hair back from his face and looks at him for a while* If times were better, I would have asked to marry you now, rather than after I return to Arthedain...
Arvedui: If times were better. *nods slowly before adding, softly* If you were not grieving.
Firiel: *slight nod* It's not so much that... I know he will return. He did promise he would. The atmosphere is not one for weddings, though, despite the return of the sun... *nods to the window*
Arvedui: *follows her gaze, and for a moment his eyes sparkle with pride* The sun, aye... *pauses* You are right, of course. It is no time for such an occasion. *nods slowly*
Firiel: *kisses his nose* Soon, love, soon.
Arvedui: *smiles, kissing her briefly* For you, I'll wait for as long as you wish.
Firiel: *kisses back* Then you won't have to wait long. *snuggles into his side and looks out the window, warmed both by the sight of bright trees and being by his side*
Arvedui: *cuddles, kissing the top of her head* Though, in truth, I scarcely noticed the sun - not with you here to light my day. *offers a loving smile*
Firiel: *smiles in return* Your words are sweet, love. They would be hard to believe if I did not feel the same...
Arvedui: *can't stop himself from kissing her after that* Oh, Firiel, I only describe that which I see and feel. If my words are sweet, it is only because the truth is.
Firiel: *kisses back, lingering there* The truth is that you are wonderful in every way and I love you. *holds him close*
Arvedui: *wraps his arms around her warmly* If that is true of me, then what a wonder you must be - for I feel like an acolyte in the face of his God - awe, wonder and love battle within me when I look at you, or hear your voice. My beauty, *kiss* my love. *and another one*
Firiel: *blushes brightly and sighs, smiling softly* You are certainly gifted with words. *breathes in, inhaling his scent, and rests against him*
*sighs* There are too many conflicting emotions in me right now.
I think it's best if we made an early start on the journey back to Arthedain. The sooner I'm home, the sooner I can bury myself in comforting paperwork. Time will pass much more swiftly that way, until Firiel's return. And maybe I'll be able to forget how Theoden used to look like, and how much I wish I had his old self for a friend.
