As Kyle was perhaps waking up to the little tokens on his pillow, Ianto would also find some treats on his own pillow.

Nothing extravagant, that had never really been Jack's way as Christmas wasn't one of the holidays he'd grown up with but he'd learned over the years and hoped that the little gifts would be appreciated for at least the thought.

There was a small box, wrapped up in simple paper with ribbon. Also a stocking had been filled with handmade -not by Jack thank God!- sugar plums and candy canes.

A small note was tucked under the ribbon of the gift.

Merry Christmas, Ianto.

I'm sorry you're not home to spend Christmas with your mother and sister but at least I'm not dragging you off on a weevil hunt in the middle of the Christmas pudding eh? I hope you enjoy yourself this year, embrace the spirit and that it's everything it hasn't been over the past couple of years. You deserve the best, my love.

Set near the coffee maker in the kitchen, there's a small potted plant with a ribbon tied around it and a small card tucked in between the green leaves. The card simply says,

Hanging up for Kyle, there's a rather nice coat with a note that says You're adorable too, Ianto.
