The Cactus Comic Convention...

Feb 01, 2007 11:08

It was a pretty surreal experience to say the least. I got to meet people that I adore, people that I admire, and a person I damn near worship. We sold far more copies of KING! than I expected and drew more zombies for people in one day than I have in all of 2006 ( Read more... )

*sigh* Things like this make me wish I still lived out there. We've got some great comic conventions here on the east coast, though...I guess I'll just have to wait. I do miss Atomic Comics, though, they had a much better selection then my current local shop.

Ah well, I might be out there at the end of the month. And I WILL be picking up a copy of your book, be it from Atomic (if I find my way out there), or from you directly =D

Thank you, tabbie. Atomic is a great store (all of them) run by great people.

Oh man that is so awesome! I am happy for you!

I've been meaning to ask: where is KING! available for purchase - online or otherwise?

It'll be available in stores pretty soon, but for now it can be purchased at www.blackliststudios.com

Or you can get over to the Fright Night event at the Atomic Comics in Mesa on the 17th between 3 and 6 and get one there from me in person. I'll even shake mah hips.

Ah I won't be in town on the 17th.

What an experience! Your artwork kicks "A- double snake".

I cracked up at the a-double snake. Told Crystal that, she laughed.

Anyway, yeah, it was a fun experience. I'm trying to figure out with Crystal when to meet up with you guys. Alot has happened.

Yes, it sounds like lots is going on. I really wanted to go to the Atomic Comics in Mesa grand opening with Calabrese and The Limit Club and Reliquary on the 17th, but Mike already has a car show he is organizing and its too late to back out. Anytime is fine, well, hopefully.

Calabrese isn't supposed to play until 10 that night - too late for me :( I'll be there till 6 pm. How late does the car show go till?

Any Interest in the Dallas Comic Con? anonymous February 9 2007, 15:20:27 UTC
Greetings from Texas! I just read the first issue. Awesome! And all that high-quality art is on some high-quality paper, too. Nicely done.

Any chance you guys would want to come out to the Dallas Comic Con sometime? They put on about 4-5 shows a year.

I think you guys would be a big hit!

Can't wait for the rest!

Paul
