[Having seen the additional draft post, Shouryuu decides to take a walk. You'll find him wandering almost aimlessly around the village, looking around the shops for a suitable weapon. He's not been too worried about it up until now, but it appears he has an incredibly limited time to get himself ready

[Someone else decided to take a walk when he saw that, too... in a manner of speaking. Rokuta's version of "take a walk" was more like "bolt out the door, transform mid-step, and run as high and far as the winds will take him and the barrier will allow." Despite his efforts, though, he finds no way out, nor can he so much as stir a breeze when he tries to open a shoku, and he finally turns back to the village at a much slower pace than he'd left.

He comes to a landing at the edge of the river, pacing closer to where Shouryuu sits before pausing a short distance away, picking up one forehoof and setting it down again uncertainly. He recognizes the sword, he realizes what's going to happen, and he doesn't want any of it to be real.]

[Shouryuu feels eyes on him and he doesn't have to look up to know who is there. He finishes another stroke, shifts the blade to check the edge before he finally does look up when Enki doesn't come any closer.

Rokuta doesn't need to be in human form for Shouryuu to read him. He doesn't, in fact, have to be in any form for Shouryuu to know how he's taking the new draft list. He puts the sword down and reaches out that hand in his kirin's direction.]

[The kirin's ears lift and swivel backwards at the sound of the blade on the stone, then forward again when the king speaks. He snorts in response but picks his way closer, stopping just shy of Shouryuu's hand with nostrils flaring in distaste. Steel and oil, the predecessors to blood, which he imagines he can already taste on the air.]

[He snorts out a soft laugh and lets his hand drop, shifts to sit cross-legged more comfortably and puts the sword down beside him. His hands rest idly on his knees.]

You're looking at me like this is somehow my fault, Enki.

[Tink's been super busy hauling stuff to the spot near the lake where she's starting the home building process. On her way back from a village scrounge for lost things, she spots someone sitting by the river messing with a sharp thingy. She halts mid-flight to stare, then flits over and hovers in front of Shouryuu with an upturned thimble filled with twigs and other small gizmos in her arms.]

Never seen anything like that before.

[Shouryuu blinks and it takes a moment for him to locate the source of the voice. When he does, he has to blink again and shifts to focus a little better on her.]

Never seen anything like you before either. [There's a smile on his face though despite the tenseness of the situation.] Hello.

[Tink flies down enough to get a better look at the weapon. They don't have anything like it in Pixie Hollow and she's not quite sure what it is. She glances at it, then back up with a bright smile.]

So what is this sharp thingy?

[He shifts it so that it's easier for her to look at it - but also making sure she's not going to accidentally land on it or anything by mistake.]

Hello. [Shouryuu glances over at her and offers her a smile. His eyes aren't quite as bright as they should be - that smile doesn't really touch there - and he's still half-focused on the sword in hand.]

Oh... are you leaving to fight too? I got to go once.

Yes. [He looks down at the sword before he looks up at her.] I understand that you can't refuse when you've been named. What is it like out there? [He hasn't really been here long enough to know.]
