This is one of the reasons why I despise working in groups. I hate feeling responsible for everyone else if everyone else is not working up to par or taking the assignment not as seriously. What's the point of even coming to lecture if there are only 20 minutes left? That's almost insulting. Ugh. I hope your group begins to work together better soon.
Unfortunately, working in a group is basically a fact of life in film production, especially where dramatic film production (which is what this subject is all about) is concerned. I think part of the problem is that the rest of the group basically consists of late teenagers who have yet to really have the importance of punctuality fully impressed upon them. Of the whole group, I think the woman I am a big fan of (awww really I hear you cry) is the only one who does at least understand that importance.
And yes, it does beg the question of what the point is if there are only twenty minutes left. Especially when you do not even have a halfway valid excuse like a train crash.
Well, we might well be testing him for koala DNA at a later date. I will keep the readership posted on that one.
The problem with epidemics is that they are not terribly efficient. The biggest one in recorded history so far was confined to Western Europe, and only killed a few tens of millions. We need to get rid of at least a couple of billion, and within the next ten to twenty years.
Would you be talking about THE PLAGUE? :D I love medieval stuff for some weird reason; despite the squalor and ignorance of that time (or maybe BECAUSE of them haha), I feel a connection to medieval England. Genetic memory? Who knows? :P

Which plague? There's been a few of them throughout recorded history. Either way, plagues and wars have proven extremely inefficient at controlling our numbers and therefore should not be considered as viable solutions to the current crisis. The total elimination of the Catholic church and some serious restrictions on the right to reproduce, on the other hand...
Ummm... actually, could we just leave my class alone? I do not particularly want to have much to do with any of them, except for one, anymore.
Awesome! I wish more people would do that, in fact. Because even if every couple in the world restricted themselves to two children, the world's population will still double in sixty years. It would not stop growing for all that time.

My friend across town agrees with you about overpopulation, she refers to epidemics as "God's little pruning shears." :P
