I find this fascinating, because it's like he's coming out and saying it's all a giant shuck. Pick me up out of the United States in the early 21st century, he says, and put me anywhere you like, and I would've been exactly the same. Stick me in 13th century England and I'll stand on a dung heap and rail against the Magna Carta. I'm doing shtick and I don't mean it.
I have to wonder the Dittoheads come away from it with the same lesson. (Okay, no, I don't have to wonder. They don't.)
