A fine declaration, but truly do you think such would fall on their ears?

[Diving his consciousness into the frequency, Sephiroth would hear the sibilant whispers of the vampire as if he were in the very room with him.]

Prayers, even to False gods, go unheard if there are not works behind them.

So I shall truly deafen them, with the roaring sounds of their collapsing science project all around them.

I long understood that the only god is one you make yourself.

[ Sephiroth ran his finger along the edge of his sword, making sure with touch that the blade was cleaned and oiled, the sibilant whispers finding echoes of other whispers - an echo of other minds. That was snapped shut and the Silver General stood, his wing stretching out, feathers tangling with long silver strands. ]

Those scientists that I knew did not care if their project collapsed. Indeed, they found the results just as intriguing as the destruction.

And you would discern well, my friend, gods come in the myriads, whatever a foolish man bids worship to may be his god.

[Certain this man, this preternatural being was far more competent than the norm he found amongst this trash-heap, the Nosferatu smiles a favorable smile, a hissing chuckle to dust his resounding utters.]

Those who would make themselves like little gods and dress themselves in robes of white like the Celestials above, I too became pitted against such ones long before this world.

And while yours were.. perhaps, more resilient, the ones I thwarted did not live to see another day of scientific progress.

[He knew it would end eventually, he had liked the younger one, but this Alucard frightened him more than anything he could think of. He was like Hell personified, all the stories of Vampires of legend made true and housed in one single body. This was also more frightening than he had been previously, as if the gates to Hell itself had opened up within him, letting the demons and abominations house his body.

The words sent shivers down the young boys spine, and what he had meant to say was now lost. His entire body shook in fright and dread. Yet, the feed was live with silence.]

[It wasn't long, Alessandro's reaction was very quick, though it felt like a life time watching the terror before him on the screen. His shaking switched the unused voice to video before finally, his body gave out. With frightened tears, the boy fell to the ground in a faint.]

[Bollocks. The only reason that word is running through his head is due to the thought of destruction, the amount he would cause. The aged old butler is not afraid of his words or of the vampire himself, he had learnt to deal with his ferocious sides before, but it had been a long time, if ever, that he had seen him get this riled. Yet Walter's ability to remain calm is un-faltered, he is only concerned.]

Alucard, do not do anything Sir Integra wouldn't have ordered you to do or I will have to try and stop you myself, do you understand?

[He would not attempt to kill the beast yet, he knows it impossible... But if he has to slow him down then he will try, he knows that Alucard won't kill him unless truly necessary.

[Not you as well, Walter. Of all to attempt to oppose him... The vampire laughed almost bitterly and touched his sense of consciousness to the frequency to find the Butler's presence.

In a flutter of cold wind playing at the neatly tied mane at Walter's back, the Nosferatu stepped through the wall, whilst visible damage to his right flank, that refused to heal, trickled dark blood in plotlets upon the floor.]

O' Angel, wouldst I truly defy her will? Her very desire to see this wretched city crumble before her feet?

This is her unspoken order!

[Craze surely beyond all reason, the unclean beast cackled, truly amused, if not excited by his dear old friend's threat in his voice. Even that stance the loyal butler took brought him back to a time over 50 years ago. Who spoke that time changes all things? In his eyes, Walter was as timeless as the vampire's own body.]

[He had an idea that it was her will, even that innocent blood will more than likely be spilled... But he wasn't going to let more than needed hit the pavement.

The apparation caused no new emotion, he did not jump at all.]

Sir Integra's order is easily the top, but if you are going to carelessly take down this city to find them then I will not have it.

Considering you have been left with Arthur Hellsing, one of the most, if not the most irresponsible Sir Hellsing to ever have lived as your master... I dare to let you go with what orders he may give you at this point. Alucard, as a co-worker, as a friend, let the bloodshed be as little as possible; it is not the resident's faults that they are here.

[Timeless or not, his body grew fragile over the years and he wouldn't stand that much of a chance against you if you were to attack him with full power... But if a worker was to die for the Hellsing organization, then so be it; Walter has always been willing to die for his job... That is how he knows he will die.]

[Such stalwart foolishness the likes he expected from any Englishmen with any pride left in their old brittle bones. This was why Alucard coveted Walter; in the face of Death he was the Angel of defiance, who bowed to no one but his Sworn Authority.

So alike in that regard, the vampire curved a simper of favor upon the man as he glided about him like an intangible specter and stopped as the window to the room silhouetted his form, leaving only the candle-lit glow of his scarlet eyes.]

Such judicious reason, Walter, no.. no they did not ask for this, so much as a ghoul does not ask to lose it's soul.

Yet that is what they are, dear friend. Descried over them for a year I have come to regard them just as any other freak.

Soulless.

[The word resounded from everywhere and no-where, echoing off the walls as testament to what the vampire had seen over the course of his imprisonment here.]

To live, and to die. To will one's self to survive, becomes a meaningless endeavor in this interim.

They seek us to be nothing but rats in a ( ... )
